Bears Are NCAA Champions By Steve Galluzzo, Sports Editor 2009-11-27
Palisadians Ali Hoffman and Drew Hargrave hold the championship trophy after leading Washington University in St. Louis to its 10th NCAA Division III women's volleyball championship with a 18-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-21 finals victory over Juniata College last Saturday in Cleveland, Ohio.
Hoffman is a junior defensive specialist and Hargrave is a freshman outside hitter for the Bears, who finished the season with a 34-4 record. Hoffman won a state title her senior year at Marymount High and Hargrave won a CIF title at Brentwood last year.
